We have the most extensive knowledge of Legacy Fire Alarm Systems in the UK

Legacy fire alarm system are essentially old, but still functioning and may require specialist knowledge and parts to maintain.

We are specialists in maintaining and upgrading legacy systems and can offer competitive pricing and engineered solutions to upgrading older systems including Gent and Protec.

Our engineers have years of experience, we are not saying they are old, but they are all time served technicians; some spending long periods of time working for manufacturers. Through our network of industry contacts, we have access to repair parts and upgrades which many companies would find difficult to obtain.

When your fire alarm has come to the end of its working life, give us a try to see if we can utilise any of the existing components to integrate with a new system. This could offer a substantial saving on your upgrade.

We offer a full Fire Alarm System Design service that can be incorporated in any type of building

Our skilled engineers have worked on many different buildings over the years including Government Property, Prisons, M.O.D. Bases, Shopping Centres, Hospitals, Student Accommodation, Council Buildings, Railway Stations, Hotels, Factories and Housing Association Properties.

Almost all buildings in the UK require some type of system and whether you want to send us drawings and we’ll provide you with a design or whether you require a site visit, at S2 Fire Solutions we are happy to provide you with a solution either way.

Fire alarms in the UK are typically designed to the BS 5839 standards (Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings), however, there are a range of type of systems available and different options for the extent of detection, category of smoke detection and types of alarm. It is essential to ensure that the fire alarm, detection and warning system are specified correctly at the outset to reduce the risk of late changes being required to the system.

All our Computer Aided Design (CAD) work is carried out in house which enables us to amend our design as things change when the job progresses.

All of our staff including designers are fully qualified and conversant in fire alarm system design to offer an in-depth solution to any challenges your building may provide. Our design team are specialists in much more than standard fire alarm design fare, they love a challenge and have completed many fire alarm system designs using unorthodox methods to ensure suitable fire detection, even in the harshest and most volatile of environments.
